You will need:
- a compatible smart phone or tablet
- a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
- “MY HOME” and “Locations” must have been set up.
- Preparation
- Make sure your phone is on the same Wi-Fi connection as the device and that you are connected with your WiFi password.
- You may need to temporarily disconnect network extenders or hubs – the device must connect directly with the main router.

- Tap Add Device (or the plus sign (+) for additional devices)
- Select the type of device (ASC, ASI or ASP)
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter your credentials.
- If the password is wrong, you will not be notified but the device will not pair.
- Initiate pairing mode
- Press and hold the power button on the CBi Astute Smart device until the LED switches off.
- Tap the power button once. The LED should flash rapidly – pairing mode is now active.
- Return to the app on your phone, and tap the mobile notification Confirm indicator rapidly blinking.
- If the indicator light stops flashing while in pairing mode, the device has been found and is busy connecting.
- If the connection attempt fails.
- Repeat steps 6 and 7.
- Ensure that your home’s Wi-Fi password is entered correctly.

- The pairing status will be displayed
- Rename the device. (Optional) Tap the edit button to change the device name at any time. Tap Done.
- Setup is complete and you can now define schedules on the Timer menu.
